How to Wear an Oversized Denim Shirt Like Whitney Port

Whitney Port swung by the Beverly Hills Nail Design to get a manicure and a pedicure last Wednesday evening. True to her California girl roots, Whitney was just dressed coolly and casually in a loose gray shirt and a pair of gray sweat shorts topped off by an oversized denim shirt rolled at the cuffs.

We haven’t had the chance to feature Whitney Port that often here on Your Next Jeans, but from what I’ve seen on other celebrity style blogs, this girl has about half a dozen denim shirts! She has worn them with short shorts, skirts, and dresses, and she has  even done denim on denim with colored jeans. Whitney’s got a serious denim shirt collection going, but one thing remains constant about all of them: All are oversized and hang loosely on Whitney Port’s long and lean frame.

Whitney seems to prefer this fit not just for her denim shirts but also for a lot of her tops. In fact, she was wearing a loose ruffled button-down shirt the last time we featured her here. I don’t really blame Whitney for sticking to this style because not only is it comfy, but it also highlights her slim, mile-long legs in the best possible way. As they say, if you’ve got it, you gotta flaunt it.

Whitney Port’s denim shirt is as classic as they come, but it does look like it’s got a sheen to it. Try this one from IZOD that not only has that shine but also has the oversized fit.

Denim shirts have always been a spring/summer staple. Choose a light chambray to combat the heat or use one to double as a light jacket for those cooler summer nights.
