High-waist and mid-rise jeans have been ruling the denim scene for quite some time now.
So when we saw Rumer Willis rocking a pair of super-low jeans at her recent gig at the Sayers Club in Hollywood, we felt like we were back in the early and mid-naughts when the style was all the rage.

Rumer topped her look with a cropped halter that made her already-low jeans look even lower. Sensible leather loafers downplayed the sexiness of her getup, and her newly cut and dyed blond bob was left unstyled.

Remember when jeans fashion was all about the lowest, hip-bone-baring, thong-displaying cut? Denim brands even bragged about how low the rise is on their jeans, and some even advertised their jeans as “the lowest”.
We’re not quite ready to give up our belly-friendly high-waist and mid-rise jeans, but with the way this new trend is looking, we should get started on those crunches now at Nordstrom and Shopbop. What about you, are you ready for super-low-rise jeans to come back?
