Are Jeans With Embroidered Pockets Still In?

I’ve been debating with myself on whether or not to feature jeans with embroidered pockets here on Your Next Jeans.

Would they be popular? Would they be well received? Are jeans with embroidered pockets OUT, or are they still IN?

I remember when embroidered jeans were a big thing. I believe they were the trend around the same time premium-label denim first hit the market in the early 2000s.

Now, they’re not really getting a lot of exposure or endorsement from any trend-setting celebrities. We get a few spots here and there (like on Miley Cyrus) but definitely not at the level they were once at before.

Of course, we don’t have to follow what the celebrities are wearing, so I’d like to know YOUR personal take on this style.

Do you still rock jeans with embroidered pockets, or do you skip them when you see them on the rack?

Personally, I think it all depends on the embroidery design. There are quite a few nice ones out there, but these ones below are the types that give jeans with embroidered pockets a bad name.

Three women’s jeans with unattractive embroidered pockets:

Laguna Beach Crystal Cove Bootcut Jeans, $61.99

Mek Denim Jaisalmer Boot Saddle Jean in Light Blue, $155.00

Don’t think that men are exempt from this. Some of the worst embroidered pocket jeans I’ve come across are from their department.

Laguna Beach Redondo Beach Straight-Leg Jeans, $76.99

Of course, these aren’t helping the cause of embroidered jeans in any way.

If you still love the look of jeans with embroidered pockets regardless of what trends dictate, then we say just go ahead and rock them!
