Worst pitch ever? More like cutest pitch ever! In defense of Carly Rae Jepsen, at least she looked cute when she threw her infamous ceremonial first pitch for the Tampa Bay Rays last Sunday.

The pitch looked like it was starting off on the right foot; Carly Rae had a good stance, good form, and a good arm angle going:

But things took a turn for the worse when she held on to the ball a bit too long. You know what happened next — hit play on the video below to watch Carly Rae Jepsen throw what’s now being called the “worst first pitch ever”:

She was, of course, embarrassed by it immediately, especially since the announcer said that she was “throwing strike after strike” before the actual pitch.

But, hey, that’s what the knotted baseball shirt, itty-bitty cutoff shorts, and white fishnet stockings are for, right? For us, Carly Rae Jepsen compensated her horrible pitch with a cute outfit!
