I know I’m a bit late in writing about this, but I just saw the video of the event from where these pictures of Beyonce were taken. As soon as I finished watching it, I wanted to blog about it and I remembered why I’m a Beyonce fan all over again.
Beyonce dancing with the students of the PS 161 Pedro Albizu Campos middle school in Harlem, New York on May 3, 2011
Beyonce gave the students of the PS 161 Pedro Albizu Campos middle school in Harlem, New York the shock of their lives when she suddenly showed up during their “Move Your Body” dance routine. The surprise visit caused a bit of a commotion at first, but the lucky students got right back into the groove as soon as they saw Beyonce joining in on their dance.
This whole thing is part of First Lady Michelle Obama’s “Let’s Move” initiative, which is a campaign against childhood obesity. “Let’s Move” uses simple but comprehensive tools in motivating kids to be more proactive about their health, such as the dance/exercise video Beyonce made for the students of participating schools.
By using dance, the American singer, songwriter and actress also adds an element of fun to this campaign. And because she’s Beyonce, she also adds an element of Hollywood glamour!
Have you seen the video? I recommend you watch the dance/exercise intro video first and then watch the surprise appearance video after:
Beyonce looked amazing in the white skinny jeans she wore for the surprise visit. Her jeans are the Siwy ‘Hannah’ slim ankle jeans in blaze:

I also found it amazing how Beyonce could move like that while wearing these Christian Louboutin ‘1EN8’ high-heel sandals from Louboutin’s pre-fall 2011 collection:
Don’t quote me on this, but that looks like a 5-inch high heel right there!
