If you are anything like us, you are probably a little wary of patched denim jeans, largely because of how challenging they are to style.
Fearne Cotton rocks patched denim jeans with animal print shoes
Thanks to the perpetually put-together Fearne Cotton, we are now somewhat cured of our aversion to this kind of jeans.
Fearne Cotton’s jeans featuring lower legs covered in a printed patch
The presenter and radio host put on a pair of denim jeans with its lower legs covered in printed patch to go to work.
Fearne brazened it out by adding a few more prints – a face-printed t-shirt and an animal-printed pair of pumps. And while the prints made the whole outfit look busy, it actually worked!

The jeans have just the right amount of patchwork and the white shirt cleaned up the look a tad. It’s the kind of outfit you’d want to wear if you don’t want to look too thought out but would still like to keep a semblance of style.
Also, doesn’t this make you want to take the plunge and wear a pair of patched denim jeans? Here are a few similar options from Farfetch and Shopbop:
1. McQ by Alexander McQueen Boyfriend Jeans, $386.79
2. McQ By Alexander McQueen Printed Patch Boyfriend Jeans, $486.03
3. Current/Elliott The Patchwork Fling Jeans, $238.00
4. THVM Behati Colorblock Boyfriend Jeans, $112.20
5. Paige Denim Jimmy Jimmy Skinny Jeans with Patches, $259.00
Try wearing these with a printed white shirt as well just like Fearne Cotton. Keep it polished with a pair of pumps and then accessorize with a large tote and simple, non-clunky jewelry.
