People say that despite being in the business for quite a long while now, Rachel Zoe still has a lot to learn in order to become a full-fledged fashion designer.

But she certainly proved everyone wrong when she pulled off a successful runway show during New York Fashion Week! Her Spring/Summer 2014 collection is literally to die for!

Rachel Zoe has been designing for a good three years only, but you can see that she’s serious with what she’s doing judging by her S/S 2014 collection. We expected to see a ton of sequins and animal prints, but those elements were absent during the runway show.

The stylist-turned-designer focused on her ’70’s influence, with denim, flared trousers, and minimalistic pieces taking full force on the white carpet.

There were occasional mint-colored pieces that had us gasping for air, but what made us proud of Zoe was her keen eye for wearable fashion. Her collection is one that can definitely help build a wardrobe:
