Cara Delevingne’s Stunning Transformation: From Hollywood Glamour to Enchanting Edginess at ‘Suicide Squad’ Premiere

Cara Delevingne is one of the hottest supermodels today, and it’s easy to see why. She always impresses us with her flawless looks, whether strutting down the catwalk, walking the red carpet, or even cruising the street.

In August 2016, the then-24-year-old model did not disappoint at the world premiere of “Suicide Squad” in New York City.

She channeled old Hollywood glamour with a sexy twist, a far cry from her ghoulish, creepy character Enchantress.

Cara Delevingne admitted that she did not read any Enchantress comics before accepting the role or during the production of the film. To help her get into character, she listened to rock music from Nick Cave and Megadeth.

During her audition for the role, she read for Martha from Edward Albee’s play “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?” and was asked to read the part in different ways to reflect June Moone’s split personality.

By the end of the audition, she was so passionate about the role that she was ready to fight, saying, “David Ayer sparked a fury in me, you got to come get me out of jail because I was so furious!”

Cara Delevingne described June Moone as an “adventure-seeker who’s always wanted some excitement” and Enchantress as “a feral being.”

Interestingly, David Ayer cast Cara Delevingne before there was a script and asked her to prepare for her role by walking naked in the woods at night, preferably underneath a full moon and in the mud. She reportedly did so on the secluded compound of her sister’s mansion, seeking some much-needed privacy.

The British model showed some serious flesh in a studded, perforated dress by Anthony Vaccarello.

It featured a plunging v-neckline flaunting her décolletage and a diagonal midsection cutout that revealed more skin.

The tiny dress — held together by small rings — also had asymmetrical shoulder straps and a faux suede skirt.

The “Paper Towns” star played up the look’s rock ‘n’ roll vibe with several statement jewelry pieces. She wore multiple earrings, including a pair of H. Stern dangling earrings and a couple of rings.

The model-turned-actress wore her blonde locks in smooth waves with a side part, opting for an old Hollywood beauty look. She also sported glittery smoky eye makeup and a slick of bold red lipstick.

Cara rounded out her edgy but sultry look with the Christian Louboutin “Louise XI” over-the-knee boots.

These suede boots have almond toes, side-zip fastenings, half-inch hidden platforms, and five-inch heels.

Unfortunately, these boots are already sold out. You can find more recent shoes from the popular designer at Nordstrom and Mytheresa.
