Teaming up a dress with pants? It’s not like we haven’t heard of this before.
Emma Watson did it before at The Perks of Being a Wallflower premiere and again at the 2014 Golden Globe Awards. Even Kendall Jenner has taken a liking to the look. The more often we see a dress worn over pants, the more it makes sense to us.
The latest celebrity to join the dress over pants trend is Rita Ora. Let’s check out her take on this trend:
Rita Ora shows how to wear a dress over pants
The 24-year-old singer and X Factor UK judge wore a pair of white Stella McCartney “Dakota” trousers with a white strapless dress, also from the same brand.
She styled the look with a pair of white sandals and long earrings.

We never thought something as baggy as Rita’s pants would look remotely alright with a dress but surprisingly, this didn’t set off our alarm bells.
Although difficult to pull off, she actually made it work. It also helped that the look is monochromatic with very little accessorizing going on. The simple hairdo and the burgundy lips worked wonders.

What do you think? Is this a look you’d like to try? Rita’s pants are still available at Farfetch if you’d like to get your hands on them:
