Do you still have reservations about wearing pajama pants in public? Guess who just rocked a pair of these for a special function? Emma Stone did!

The actress attended a benefit luncheon wearing a Michael Kors blouse and pants tandem as befits the event. But despite her intention to keep her outfit simple and functional for the event, Emma still stood out.

The pastel orange blouse is both demure and chic, giving the actress’ look a youthful flair. At first glance, the pants look like they’re meant to be worn for sleeping.

Upon closer inspection, the pants are crafted from exquisite lace. A misstep in styling could have led to a fashion faux pas. Yet, Emma masterfully demonstrated her keen fashion sense by complementing them with the perfect top and understated Christian Louboutin pumps.

I couldn’t find the Michael Kors pants and top, but I took inspiration from Emma’s outfit and found these coordinates:

Black pajama pants with blouse and high heelsMarni Jacquard Trouser, $617.18 / Club Monaco Cambria Shirt, $140 / Steven Akcess Pumps, $139

If your pajama pants are printed or decorated, wear them with a plain-colored top like Emma’s.

A contrasting color, like soft pastel tones, is a good choice for wearing black pants. Also, keep the look stylish with a sleek pair of pumps. Easy to follow, right? This ensemble is great for special functions, but you can also wear it for work or play.
